**SNOW**

This morning after Claire woke up and had breakfast we bundled up and went outside to play in the snow.  Claire had fun eating the snow and running around in it.  It was still snowing while we were out there playing.  It probably not stay long so we tried to have as much fun as we could.  She did not want to come in, but her little nose was getting really red.  The weather is really beautiful too, not windy at all, and 31 degrees.  So pretty with the snow still falling.  When I look out my front window it reminds me of a Christmas card.  So pretty and quiet, with the beautiful white snow.  Makes me want to start on the winter crafts, and we have not even started with the Thanksgiving ones yet.  We will see what the rest of the day brings, maybe we will have to make a few snow crafts!!

Here it is, our first snowman this season.  I think this is the earliest that I have ever made a snowman, that I can remember anyway. 

Cold Weekend

On Friday we went to pick up Breanna.  Claire was very excited to see her big sister.  Breanna had to run the mile at school on Friday, she said that was 4 laps areound the track.  Me and Breanna played a game of clue after supper.  Then it was time for bed.

On Saturday morning we had our first snow this season.  It was just a dusting, but Claire was so happy to see it.  I wanted to get pictures of Claire out in the snow, but just was not feeling well enough t go out there.  I have had a head cold for a few days, no fever just head cold.  Breanna helped me make kneopfle soup for lunch.  It is a vegetable dumpling soup with milk and butter, perfect for a cold day.  Then we got ready to go out to the deer shack.  John worked so hard adding on to it the last few weeks, we had to see it.  Claire had fun dancing around out there and playing on the top bunk with Bre.  John and Breanna stayed over night, and me and Claire came home for a dance party.

Today Breanna got to shoot her new gun for the first time.  She did really good and is even more excited to go hunting with her dad.  She wants to stay out in the deer shack again next weekend.  Aunt Lesa came over for lunch.  The girls were very happy to have her over.  We played a game of Yahtzee free for all, a new yahtzee game that she got for her birthday.  It was really fun.  Then we went over to Toody's in Henderson some very good ice cream.

We all had a great time and the girls were so good, so they got to pick out a treat before we left.  Then it was back home and time for Breanna to leave us for a few days.  She has MEA this week and will be coming back over again on Wednesday.

Me and Claire made a cherry pie with cherries from grandma and grandpa Friesz's cherry tree.  We picked them back in July.

Well, that was our weekend.  Now bath time and then get ready for bed.  I am finally feeling better today.  I will be busy cleaning house tomarrow since I have been sick all week. 

Our Thursday

We started off the day relaxing and watching movies.  Claire took a nap after lunch, then we went outside.  We picked all the rest of the tomatoes.  Claire was busy playing outside in her playhouse, riding her bike and driving her car while I was cleaning up in the back yard.  After supper we washed all of the tomatoes and then had to wrap them because they were all still green.  I will have a lot of tomatoes to can in about a week.  John got some peppers from a couple friends, so I might try to make some salsa too. 

I can't believe how fast the week has gone.  Tomarrow is already Friday, and I don't feel like I got much done at all so far this week.  Me and Claire seem to be feeling okay, just think that it is going to be a head cold.  Claire seems to be feeling better than me, so that is good.  She did enjoy getting outside to play for a bit.  I did not want to miss out on all the nice days while we still have them.

Another beautiful smile from Claire bear.  She got this car for her birthday from one of her friends.  She has always wanted one.  We washed it all up and will be putting it in the basement for the winter.

Relaxing Wednesday

We started off the day just relaxing.  Me and Claire had a runny nose today, I hope it does not become really bad. 

For Claire's preschool we started the letter B, the color blue, squares and the number 2. When I asked her if she wanted to do her school class, she got so excited. I am glad that she enjoys working on her preschool stuff. We have a lot of fun with it too!!  Claire also counted to 14 today, all by herself.  We will be working on the letter B again tomarrow.  Claire is very excited that backpack, from Dora, starts with the letter B.  I found backpack in a magazine and we it out and pasted to her B sheet. 

Before supper we made oatmeal raisin cookies.  Then Claire helped with making supper.  She was running around the kitchen with a cookie cutter on her head, pretending that it was her umbrella.  She wanted me to put one on my head too, because it was raining.  Then when John came home from work, she gave him one too!  She has such a great imagination.

I would have liked to get outside today, but we will get out there tomarrow.  We have had a busy start to the week, so it was nice to just relax in the house today.  I am hoping that we have a beautiful day tomarrow, and no more rain.

My princess

On Monday we went shopping with Grandma Friesz, Aunt Lesa, and Uncle Tim.  Claire needed some 3T clothes for the winter.  We also went out for lunch and for a walk.  We had a great day.

Here is a pretty bird that we saw while we were going for a walk.  I think maybe he flew into a glass door because he was just sitting there.  Claire thought it was so cute.

I found backpack for Claire at unique in Burnsville.  She asked me to take a picture of her with her backpack.  She filled it with all kinds of things from her room.

This morning we went to the library for story time.  Claire picked out some new movies and books.  She had fun with her friend Hannah this morning.  They gave hugs before leaving the library. 

This afternoon we went to the doctor for Claire to get a flu shot.  She did really good and then got to pick out a treat from the store.

Claire was dancing in the kitchen singing the song from Madagascar 2 "I like to move it, move it"  That is one of her favorite movies right now.  She is always repeating things from the movie.  (this is after the shot too)!!

Wet Weekend

On Saturday morning me and Claire went garage saling, in the rain.  We did not really find anything though.  Then we went to my parents house for lunch.  My sister, Linda, was there with her kids.  The kids had so much fun playing inside, since it was so wet out.  They were running around the house with blankets on and dancing.  John was out working on the deer shack again.

This morning I put away all of Claire's summer clothes and took out her winter clothes.  It turned out to be more work than I had thought.   John is working on the deer shack again today.  It should be really nice once they are finished.

Claire had strawberry milk and a toaster strudel for breakfast.  This is the first time that she realized milk makes bubbles when you blow in it with a straw.  She thought it was really neat, and kept on doing it.

She got the bubbles to go up pretty high.  Then she told me that I had to try it!  She had a fun breakfast.

the week

On Tuesday morning we had story time at the library here in Le Sueur.  Claire had fun with her friends and reading stories about chickens.  We came home and did her school work.  She did really well and had a great time.  After she finished her school work, my mom came over and we went out to lunch.

On Wednesday my sister-in-law had gall bladder surgery.  Me and Claire went up to the hospital to be with her before and after surgery.  Claire enjoyed seeing her Aunt Barb, and did not want to leave her. 

Thursday morning we went to story time at the library in Henderson.  Claire checked out some books and a barbie movie.  She did so good at the library that we went out for ice cream again.  Claire picked out some tootsie rolls and a cream soda.  We read her books and watched the barbie movie when we got home.  John went shopping while we were at the library and bought Breanna a gun.  She is so excited that she will have her very own gun for hunting. 

Today we finally made our chocolate chip cookies.  Claire had so much fun helping me.  She had to taste everything as we were making.

We relaxed and watched a movie after baking the cookies, which turned out very yummy.  Claire got a burst of energy and was running around the house in her princess shoes, pushing her shopping cart with her purse, and talking on the phone.  I had to get pictures.

She said that she was talking to her Aunt Lesa.

She is now asleep.  The little princess came up to me and said that she was ready for night night.  She was out in a minute after hitting the pillow.  Tomarrow we are planning to do some garage sales in the morning.
