Beautiful Sunrise

I looked out the window last Friday (Dec 23) morning and the sunrise was so pretty with purple and pink. About 1/2 hour after I took the pictures the clouds came out and the pretty colors were gone.

I was standing on my front porch when I took these pictures.

Corey 10 months (Dec 21)

Corey is now 10 months old. He is standing up on everything and it is so cute. I am always finding more things that need to be baby proofed.



Big Boy Chair

Corey has now moved on to a big boy chair. He was standing up in the highchair all day last Monday, so last Tuesday I put him in the booster seat.

Kindergarten Breakfast with Santa

Today Claire had breakfast with santa at school. They were able to bring 1 guest with. Claire had made really cute placemats for us at breakfast. While we were eating santa came around and gave each kid a bag of candy. Claire ate all of hers right away. After breakfast Claire had fun running around with her friends, then all of the kidergarteners sat around santa and sang some really cute christmas songs. Claire did not want to leave the school so she was helping the teachers pick up all the crayons off the tables. There was no classes the rest of today. I am happy that Claire loves school so much, and that she has such a great teacher. They do such nice things at her school and I am so greatful that I get to go and see her at school. I am such a lucky mom.

Claire told me that she wanted me to curl her hair for today. It was so pretty.

This tree was set up on the way down to the lunchroom. It was decorated with milk cartons that the kids took home and decorated how ever they wanted. Claire has been wanting me to see this tree all week so I made sure to get pictures.

Claire made herself into an elf at school with paper and marshmallows. Her teacher even let her bring home some of the marshmallows that she did not use on her elf.

Cute Corey

Sunday morning I was folding Corey's clothes and he was trying to pull himself up on the basket, so I put him inside. He actually really likes it in there.





Santa's breakfast

On Saturday we went to my parent's church for breakfast with Santa. Linda was there with her Sami and Andy, and Lesa and Tim came with Connor. It was a very nice morning and it was so beautiful how they had it all set up. The santa was actually the childrens pastor back when I was just a little girl.....and his beard is real!!

Every kid that was there was given a stocking from the church. Each one was decorated so nice and filled with goodies.

Holiday Concert

On Thursday Claire had her 1st kindergarten concert. They had one in the afternoon and then another one in the evening. Claire wore a different dress for them. She did a great job and I really enjoyed listening to her sing and do the actions to the songs. The pictures did not turn out to well because of the lighting in there. We did get it on video too. The evening concert Claire was busy messing around with one of her friends almost the whole concert. I think everyone noticed her!!

One day last week the neighbors across the street from us told me to bring Claire over because they had something for her. It was a christmas cloth doll that is bigger than her.

Winter Wonderland

Tonight I dressed up the kids and we went outside to play in the snow. It was almost dark by the time we got out there. Then I had to find a sled in the garage, but it was worth it. The kids had so much fun. That was Corey's first time out in the snow.

He really liked it, I thought he was even going to fall asleep. Claire went slow and I was walking right behind him to make sure that he did not fall off.

Countdown to christmas

Corey, Claire and Breanna always get the calendars with chocolates that you eat every day until Christmas. On December 1st Corey ate his first piece of solid chocolate. He sure did like it and would not put it down.

I am not sure which hand it is in, but he has a pretty good grip on it!

Oh Christmas Tree

After school last Monday, me and Claire set up the Christmas tree. I love looking at my beautiful tree. I like to have the lights on all day.

Black Friday

I do not attempt to do black Friday shopping anymore. Fortunately I have 2 sisters that love to go. I stayed at Lesas's house overnight and had the pleasure of watching my godson Connor while Lesa, Tim, and Linda went shopping. That was Corey's 1st night away from home.

Gobble Gobble

We had a great Thanksgiving with family and lots of food. Claire made a really cute turkey hat and a pilgrim bonnet. I always look forward to the nice big meal every year but always look at what I have to be thankful for. I am so thankful to have my family. Having my children is such a blessing that I get to enjoy every single day. I am truly blessed.
