Fishing With Daddy

On Saturday John took Claire out ice fishing on Clear Lake in Lexington. She caught 4 perch and 1 sunfish, but they were all too small to keep. She had a great time with her dad and was so excited about catching the fish. She can't wait to go again. Hopefully we can get the big house out soon.

Pp week at school

Each week Claire learns a letter at school. This week was Pp. On Thursday Claire got to wear something either pink or purple... and she wore purple pants and a pink shirt. We were running late so did not get a picture.

On Firday they had a pajama picnic for lunch. Claire got to wear pj's and slippers all day at school and bring a lunch with things that started with Pp, and then they had a picnic in the gym. I packed Claire lots of Pp things to eat for lunch. She had a plum jelly sandwhich in the shape of a pumpkin, pretzels, popcorn, peanuts, pickle pringles, and punch to drink. For snack at school they made pudding as a class and every kid got a turn to help make it. I do not remember ever doing anything fun like that when I was in school.

Baby Food Cookies

I have been trying some recipes to make with baby cereal and baby food for Corey. I have made a few good ones now and am still planning to try more. Claire put on her baking hat and apron and helped me scoop the cookies on the trays. I had bought the scoop a long time ago and forgot that I had it. Claire was excited to try it out. She was a big help too!!



Fun Day of Play

On Saturday we went to Lesa and Tims to play. Corey was sick for Christmas break so we did not get to do anything fun. The kids had so much fun playing together. Claire did so well with the boys. Connor was happy to show us all of his new Christmas toys and loves to share everything. He will keep handing you things. He found Corey's nukie and crawled over to him with it and tried to put it in his mouth (he got his cheeck). The day went to fast, as always, but we all had a great time. I can't believe that Connor will be celebrating his 1st birthday in 2 weeks.

Connor got a Cars tent with a tunnel for Chirstmas. Claire loved playing in there. She even ate her lunch and supper inside the tent.

This is another new toy that Connor got. It is a Cars ball pit. All of the kids had lots of fun.

Bath Time

Thursday night was bath night for Corey. He always likes to stand on the side of the tub while I fill up the bath. His little butt looks so cute standing there.

This is the first time I gave him his bath book in the tub. He got it for halloween.

He loved having his book in the tub.

His bath is all done and time to dry off. He did not want to put his book down.

Happy New Year

On New Years Eve we went to my parents to celebrate the start of 2012 as we do every year. I think that Breanna is always more excited for New Years than for Christmas. John made his chili and I made corn muffins. We all had a great time even though Corey was not feeling well.

We had some really big snow flakes coming down and all the kids had to go out and enjoy the fresh flakes. Breanna joined in with helping do the fireworks this year. She was quite the entertainer outside making faces and showing us her dance moves through the window. Claire watched the fireworks through the window, and Corey was alseep before the fireworks started.

Merry Christmas

On Christmas Eve morning we opened our presents here at home. Then we went to my parents house to play games, sing Christmas carols, see Santa and the elves, and open more presents.


Christmas day we stayed at home and the kids played with their new presents.
